James Hart P.E., Ph.D., President and Technical Director

Jim has over 23 years of oil and gas pipeline related structural design and analysis project experience with an emphasis on evaluation of pipelines subjected to extreme loadings such as thaw settlement, frost heave, imposed fault movement, severe snow load and wind-induced vibration. He has hands-on familiarity with all aspects of stress and deformation analysis of pipelines, with an emphasis on pipe-soil interaction problems including frozen soil conditions. Jim has been closely involved with several pipeline serviceability evaluations, experimental evaluations of operating pipelines, full-scale pipe testing programs, 3rd party review of smart geometry pig data, and evaluation of highly tensioned suspended pipelines (HTSPs) including leg off configurations. Jim is a member of ASCE and ASME, and is a registered civil engineer in the States of Nevada, California, and Alaska. He has published more than 40 technical papers and holds two U.S. patents.

Nasir Zulfiqar P.E., Ph.D., Senior Engineer

Nasir has over 22 years of experience with complex finite element analysis, ranging from simulation of highly tensioned suspended pipeline behavior to demand-capacity evaluations of corroded and damaged pipelines. He has been involved in field testing of arctic pipelines and the design of wind-induced vibration damper systems, as well as investigations of pipeline and pipe supports due to frost jacking. He has also been involved in the evaluation of pipelines subjected to extreme loadings such as thaw settlement, frost heave, and imposed fault movement. Nasir is a member of ASCE, and is a registered civil engineer in the States of Nevada and California. He has published more than 10 technical papers.
